Dentures: Creating Beautiful Smiles across Scarborough & the GTA

Full Dentures
Full dentures can boost your confidence, as well as enhance eating, speaking and laughing. During an in-depth consultation process, we will help determine which type of denture best suits your requirements.

Implant-retained dentures (snap-on-dentures)
At Cliffcrest Denture Clinic, we specialize in implant dentures, which are more stable and feel more natural than most types of dentures. Implant-supported dentures are a proven restoration option, with an extensive clinical history and excellent success rate. Dental implants can also be used to replace one, several or all of your missing teeth.

After receiving implant-supported dentures, many patients report a sense of happiness and comfort they haven’t felt since losing their natural teeth.

Removable Partial Dentures
Removable partial dentures are designed to replace one or more teeth and are customized to suit your specific requirements. Removable partial dentures can help restore your smile and improve your ability to speak clearly and chew correctly. Partial dentures also help keep other teeth from drifting into the space left over from the loss of your natural tooth.

Teeth in a Day
What a difference a day can make! When a few or all of your natural teeth need to be extracted and your denturist has recommended immediate dentures, one option to consider is the “teeth in a day” solution. After your remaining teeth are removed, your new teeth are immediately fixed in place while you are still under anesthesia. When you wake up, you will see beautiful, new teeth that can function and look better than your old teeth. We can also correct previous bit abnormalities and dysfunctions!

Immediate Dentures
If your teeth are in need of extraction, one recommendation may be immediate dentures. These allow you to have teeth during the healing process. It begins with taking impressions of your mouth while your natural teeth are still present.

We then fabricate a denture in the likeness of your natural teeth, or make any necessary modifications you may wish. Once your natural teeth have been extracted, we then place your immediate denture.

Rebase, Relines & Repairs
Broken, worn or ill-fitting dentures do not always require replacement. We can quickly determine if you are a candidate for a rebase, reline or repair.
  • Rebase — Rebasing is usually done when the denture’s teeth have not worn out at the same rate as the base material. It provides a stable denture without replacing the teeth.
  • Relines — This consists of adding new base material to the tissue side of a denture so it fits properly. Relining affects only the fit of your denture and will not change the appearance.
  • Repairs — Repairs may be required when breakage or chipping occurs, when one or more teeth need to be added to an existing denture or as a result of wear and tear. In most cases we can restore a broken or cracked denture to its original state.

The Soft Liner Alternative
Permanent soft liners provide comfort and relief for individuals with severely receded or flat gums that do not tolerate the stress of dentures. These are ideal for patients with chronic gum soreness or sharp, bony areas. A permanent soft liner is a layer of soft material that is fitted to the surface of a denture and rests next to the oral tissues.

Denture Checkups
Your dentures are important to the way you look and feel. That’s why it’s essential to care for them so you will always be at your very best. Regular checkups are the most effective ways for you and your dentures to get the care and attention you both deserve.
